In 2010 she transferred to the Labor and Industries Division. In 2009 she joined the team of attorneys that represents the Special Commitment Center for sexually violent predators where she defended the state against civil rights lawsuits. She started in the Social Health Services Division where she represented the Department of Social and Health Services in dependency and termination actions and administrative licensing hearings. Before joining the UW Division she represented the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services and Labor & Industries. Jessica has worked for the Washington State Attorney General’s Office since 2006. Prior to his appointment as an Assistant Attorney General, James served as research staff on several grants through the University of Washington Psychology Department. ![]() Additionally, he represented the Department of Social and Health Services in child abuse and neglect cases and projects with the agency’s Government Operations Division. James primary clients are the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, KUOW, the Trademark Office, UW Marketing and Communication (UMAC), the Treasury Office, UWINCO, the Tax Office, and the Office of Research.īefore joining the UW Division, his work at the Attorney General’s Office included prosecuting involuntary civil commitment trials against sexually violent predators throughout the State. James has served with the University of Washington Division of the Attorney General’s Office since December 2014.
